POLAND, Warsaw - US President Joe Biden ended his four-day trip to Europe with a historic speech in the Polish capital of Warsaw on Saturday, declaring “for God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin. This marked Biden’s strongest comments to date about Putin’s war in Ukraine.
Outside a centuries-old castle in Warsaw, in front of people gathered with Polish, American, and Ukrainian flags, Biden described the war in Ukraine as the “test of all time” in a world struggling “between liberty and repression, between a rules-based order and one governed by brute force.”
Biden’s speech was delivered hours after meeting with his Polish counterpart, President Andrzej Duda, where both leaders presented a united front against Russian aggression and reiterating their commitment to the NATO alliance.
