ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - A bus carrying a group of pilgrims from Kurdistan Region overturned in Saudi Arabia on Monday. As a result, one passenger was killed, and 13 others were injured, spokesperson for Kurdistan Region's religious affairs ministry said.
Nabaz Ismail said two of the injured are in critical condition.
Nizar Jamal, the head of a company that organizes pilgrimage trips, who followed the incident closely, identified the dead pilgrim as Jotyar Abdulmajeed, 34.
Ismail added that the bus had collided with a truck before overturning.
"Two passengers of the truck were killed," he said.
The pilgrims are from Sulaimani province, according to the spokesperson
