ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Two teenage Kurdish boys have been missing from the German city of Bielefeld for nearly a week, a source told Rudaw on Friday.

Behzad Murad Alyas, 15, and Razvan Walid, 16, left school on Monday and their families have heard from them since.

An eyewitness said they were seen on a train on the border between the Netherlands and Belgium, but Rudaw could not independently verify this information.

Diyar Khero is Behzad’s uncle. He told Rudaw’s Hemn Abdulla that they reached out to the Iraqi embassy in Germany to ask Interpol to help find the missing teenagers.

He said the families are not aware of the boys having any problems. Behzad has German citizenship but Razvan does not.
