In Sulaimani’s Grand Mosque, they are preparing iftar, the meal to break the Ramadan fast, for all the impoverished Muslims and non-Muslims in the city including Kurds, Yezidis, Arabs, and Iranian workers. Adults who are working in the city are visiting the mosque as well.
Iftar is being served for more than one thousand people by Kak Ahmadi Shekh Restaurant inside the mosque on a daily basis. Costs are being covered by Sulaimani businessmen and philanthropists.
