ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Operations at Sulaimani’s Khor Mor field operated by UAE-based Dana Gas “continue as normal,” the company said on Tuesday following a rocket attack.

At least three rockets hit the vicinity of the key gas field in Chamchamal district on Monday, the latest in a series of rocket strikes that have targeted the field since last month.

Dana Gas on Tuesday said “two small rockets landed within" the field, adding “there were no injuries and production operations continue as normal,” in a bourse filing on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) condemned the attack shortly after and called on the Iraqi government to ensure the eradication of such offenses as they "seek to destroy the security and stability of the whole of Iraq and the economic development of the Kurdistan Region."

No group has claimed responsibility for targeting the facility.

The recent attack is the latest in a spate of unprecedented rocket attacks targeting the Kurdistan Region since the beginning of the year. The attacks are mostly attributed to Iran-backed militias.

Three rockets targeted the Khor Mor gas field in a matter of four days in June, which led Dana Gas to temporarily halt the development of one of its expansion projects. At least two contractors were reportedly injured.

Khor Mor field produces 452 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, according to Dana Gas.
