Faisal Hassan is a photographer and camera technician who has been working in the field of cameras and photography for more than 40 years. 

He has been running a camera repair shop in central Erbil’s famous Qaysari bazaar for more than three decades. 

“I used to hold a camera in my hand during school activities, then I went into the field of camera and photography through several courses and I have been doing it ever since,” Hassan told Rudaw on Monday, marking World Photography Day on August 19.

Hassan said he has repaired and worked on cameras for many photographers in the Kurdistan Region, including some famous ones.
