The status of the disputed city of Kirkuk remains unknown - years after the October 16 events that saw the Kurdish forces expelled from the city.

Rudaw Host Hevidar Ahmed, traveled to the province and discussed the situation of the city with locals. Each tells a different tale and talks about ‘a different Kirkuk’ that emerged following October 16, 2017.

Ahmed looks for the answers to the question, whether Kirkuk should remain under the control of the Iraqi government, be re-annexed to the Kurdistan Region, or become its own federal region?
