Rudaw, UN women training program expands to Anbar, Salahaddin provinces

Rudaw Media Network in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is conducting a media training program for women in Erbil. Registration for the program is now open to residents of Anbar and Salahaddin provinces. 

The media training is specifically designed to uplift the journalism capacities of interested candidates, who will be participating in a rigorous training program tailored to familiarize participants with the tenets of journalism. 

The training aims at strengthening Rudaw Media’s commitment to empowering the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, established as a key global objective in 2015. 

The program trains over 300 women across Iraq over 12 months. Beginning with Erbil, the program has successfully trained cohorts from Baghdad, Nineveh, and Sulaimani. 

Registration for the program is open from May 7, 2024, to May 15, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Applicants should be in their final year of university studies or recently graduated.

- Proficiency in Arabic and one other language is required.

- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in media.

- Competence in communication and writing skills.

- A strong desire to enhance the role and impact of women in the media sector.

This training program is exclusively available to female applicants.
