Over 2,200 fires recorded in Duhok this year
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Over 2,200 blazes took place in Duhok province this year, with the majority of them being wildfires, said a local official on Wednesday.
Bewar Abdulaziz, spokesperson for Duhok’s civil defense department, told Rudaw that they have recorded 2,207 fires, adding that “1,602 of them were wildfires while the rest occurred at homes, public places, and gas stations.”
